A camera assistant had died on the sets of Rupali Ganguly’s TV serial ‘Anupama’ 12 days ago, on the night of 14 November 2024. Ajit Kumar Mandal from Bihar was working on the sets of Anupama as a third party camera assistant. Ajit died due to electric shock due to live wire coming in his hand while picking up the camera. After Ajit’s death, the production brought the deceased’s family to Mumbai by flight and now they have announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to Ajit Kumar Mandal’s family.
Speaking to E-Times TV, FWICE President BN Tiwari said that we have been informed by Rajan Shahi’s production house that Anil Mandal was not married, hence his father was given Rs 10 lakh. An amount of Rs. will be given as compensation. In fact, after Ajit’s death, a statement was issued by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Cut Production saying that they will make every possible effort to help the family of the deceased.

Ajit Kumar Mandal’s family will get help
Actually, Ajit Kumar Mandal was not an employee of Director’s Cut Production House and he was given the job of camera assistant by a third party vendor (Sai Camera). This is the reason why after his death the owner of ‘Sai Video’ has also helped the family of Ajit Kumar Mandal. Apart from this, the insurance amount of Ajit Kumar is also going to be given to his family and now he is going to get an amount of Rs 10 lakh from the production house.
