Malayalam actress Anugraha S. Nambiar has levelled serious allegations against Vijay Kumar, his wife Nakshatra Murthy, and the makers of the Tamil web series Resort, accusing them of cheating, non-payment, and mental harassment. In detailed videos shared on social media, the actress claimed that the experience left her emotionally shattered and financially strained. Her revelations have sparked concern online, especially as she spoke about reaching a breaking point due to the alleged treatment. Anugraha also got support from other actresses in the same boat.

In her video, Anugraha stated that she had signed a one-year contract with the production company Global Villagers for the series Resort. She said she comes from a small village in Kerala and was made to audition several times in Chennai, with the team promising she was close to getting a lead role. However, she alleged that despite being contractually bound, she was not called for shoots for several months. At the same time, she claimed she was prevented from taking up other acting opportunities due to the exclusivity clause in her agreement.
The actress revealed that the situation worsened over time, particularly in the last couple of months, leaving her stuck without work or income. She also accused the makers of not paying her remuneration as promised in the contract. According to her, the lack of work combined with financial instability created immense pressure, pushing her into a difficult mental state.

Anugraha further alleged that she faced derogatory remarks and disrespectful behaviour from Vijay Kumar and his wife. She shared a disturbing instance from her time in the hospital, where she claimed that inappropriate comments were made about her condition. “She told my friend, who took me to the hospital, to either marry me or ask me to do the series,” claimed Anugraha. The actress said that the stress and alleged mistreatment severely impacted her health, leading to complications including epilepsy. Describing the extent of her distress, Anugraha stated that she felt mentally, physically, and financially paralysed due to the experience. She added that at one point, the situation had pushed her to the verge of suicide.

Her allegations were supported by fellow actress Malavika Sreenath, who shared her own experience in the comments section of the video. Malavika claimed that she had attended multiple auditions for the same project at her own expense and faced similar issues. She alleged that the team made exaggerated promises about lead roles and pressured actors by suggesting there were hundreds waiting for the opportunity. Malavika also stated that she eventually chose to step away from the project due to negative instincts about the working environment. She expressed support for Anugraha.
