Greaves Electric has launched a new scooter Ampere Magnus Neo for ₹86,999. It has updates like new comfortable seat, 10-inch rear wheel and less weight. It gives a range of 118 km and a top speed of 65 km/h.

The electric two-wheeler market is growing rapidly in India. Meanwhile, Greaves Electric Mobility has launched its new electric scooter, the Ampere Magnus Neo. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 86,999. It is Rs 2,099 more expensive than the old model, but the company has made many small changes in it to make everyday use easier.

The new Ampere Magnus Neo has a 3.5-inch LCD instrument cluster, which makes speed, battery and other information easily available. It has a full LED lighting setup with LED headlamps, taillamps and indicators. A USB charging port is also provided in the scooter to charge the phone during the journey. 22 liters of storage space is available under the seat.

New and comfortable seat design

The company has also updated the seat of the scooter. The new seat has been designed in such a way that it provides more comfort even in long distance journeys. Its ergonomic design makes riding easy and reduces fatigue.

New rear wheel and better balance

Ampere Magnus Neo now has a 10-inch rear wheel. Due to this, the seat height has become 777 mm, which is 25 mm less than before. This has made it easier for riders with low height to ride the scooter. Apart from this, the weight of the scooter has reduced by 5 kg and now it is 103 kg. Due to low weight and new wheels, it becomes easy to drive in traffic and tight places.

No changes in mechanical setup

Mechanically, no changes have been made to the scooter. It has the same dual-frame chassis. For suspension, telescopic forks are provided at the front and monoshock at the rear. Front and rear drum brakes are available for braking.

Battery, range and performance

Ampere Magnus Neo has a 2.3 kWh LFP battery. The company claims that it can run up to 118 kilometers on a single charge. However, in the real world, its range in Eco mode is around 85-90 kms. Its top speed is 65 kilometers per hour. It takes about 5 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 80%.
