Megastar Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to his mother, Teji Bachchan, on her with a heartfelt post on his blog. He described her as a symbol of inspiration, courage, and patience.
On Wednesday morning, Amitabh shared a touching note on social media, stating, “August 12, Mom’s birthday! Our inspiration, our morale!”
He also explained why he chose not to post a picture of her on social media. He wrote, “No pictures will be posted. How can one capture the image of someone who resides forever in the heart?”
On this special occasion, the actor also shared a post on the social media platform X, writing, “T 5823 – August 12, Mom’s birthday! A symbol of inspiration, courage, and patience. A vast world that always resides in the heart.”
Teji Bachchan was born on August 12, 1914. She married the renowned Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan in 1941 and was well-known in literary and cultural circles associated with the famous poet. Teji was also a theater artist, participating in several stage plays, including a Hindi adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.”
She was the mother of Amitabh and Ajitabh Bachchan. While Ajitabh largely stayed away from the glitz of the film industry and pursued a career in business, Amitabh Bachchan made a remarkable name for himself in Hindi cinema.
Teji Bachchan passed away on December 21, 2007, in Mumbai at the age of 93. Her death occurred just months after her grandson Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage to Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
