Fans were shocked to see this style of Big B!

- This scene was seen on the day when Bachchan was following his old tradition of meeting fans outside his Mumbai home ‘Jalsa’.
Big B’s special Sunday darshan
- This weekly meeting, known as “Sunday Darshan”, has become a special bond between the actor and his fans.
- After meeting the fans, Bachchan also shared a post on his Tumblr blog. In this he wrote his thoughts on the difference between generations and the fast pace of technology.
Amitabh Bachchan remembered the old times
- Recalling growing up in those times, he wrote, “…today was full of knowledge… knowledge that I didn’t know because we were from the era of 1942. We grew up under the conditions of that time, with limited resources and lack of knowledge about new things. When you live in that unknown era or within its limitations, it is difficult for the new generation to understand what we want to say.. Sometimes they are right.. but so are we..”
- He further explained how technology has changed everyday life. He wrote, “When you don’t know what a telephone is and you don’t have one… When you don’t know what a refrigerator is and you don’t have one… When you don’t know what air-conditioning is and you don’t have one… And when these things come to you as your status improves, it is astonishing to understand our enthusiasm for this generation and to think whether we have gone mad.”
- Bachchan also said that the coming generations will probably feel the same because technology is changing very rapidly.
- He wrote, “At this age there is a desire and a strong intention for us to ‘catch up’… maybe many people don’t want to do that… maybe they just want to sit back and watch the world move forward… but many people still want to learn about this modernizing world.
