Bengaluru: Dodging the tight security of the international airport and the customs officials of both the countries, a person reached Bengaluru with live cartridges and gun magazines from America. This man is a former soldier of the US Army, now known as J.C. The city police has arrested. The arrested accused has been identified as Muttar Arman (Muttar Rahman). This whole high-profile drama unfolded when J.C. Was staying in the famous ‘Jayamahal Palace’ lodge of Nagar police station area. At present, the accused has been sent to Parappana Agrahar Central Jail.
Indian resident, now American citizen
Police investigation has revealed many interesting things about Muttar Arman. He is originally Indian, but many years ago he settled in America and took US Citizenship. After settling in America, he also worked as a soldier in the prestigious US Army. However, according to the information received, he is no longer in the army.
Forgot magazine and bullets in the lodge room!
A few days ago, Muttar Arman came to Jaimahal Palace Lodge with a girl and booked a room. To get the room, he had given his American passport and other documents. After staying for a few days, he checked out the room with the girl and went away. But, some time after leaving the lodge, Muttar Arman himself called the manager of the lodge. He told the manager, “I have forgotten some pills in my room, please keep them safe. I will come and take them after two days.”
Hotel staff went crazy while searching the room!
The manager became suspicious due to such a call from a guest. He immediately went to that room with the staff and searched. During the search, a modern gun magazine made in America and live bullets filled in it were found. The hotel staff was shocked to see this. When Armaan did not come to take the pills even after two days, the frightened manager went straight to JC. Went to the city police station and handed over the magazine to the police and lodged a complaint.
Inquiry exposed lapses in customs security
After registering the case, JC. The city police immediately took action and took the accused Muttar Arman into custody. During interrogation it became clear that the recovered bullets were completely ‘US Made’ bullets. But the biggest question is that there is such strict security checking and scanning at any international airport. Despite this, how did Muttar Arman deceive the airport customs officials of both the countries while coming to India from America and bring these live bullets? This has surprised even the police. The police is also investigating this technical lapse which raises questions on the security arrangements of the airport.
At present, JC is under arrest on charges of illegal possession of weapons. The city police has arrested Muttar Arman. The police is also investigating from this angle whether there was any deep conspiracy behind bringing these bullets to Bengaluru or it is just a case of negligence.
