Mohan Yadav Speech: In Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is being celebrated with pomp in the entire country. He said that Baba Saheb struggled to establish equality in the society and remove thousands of years of inequality. The Chief Minister said that the Indian Constitution is the best and all citizens should follow it. He described Baba Saheb’s contribution as inspirational for the country.

Emphasis on women empowerment and 33% reservation

The Chief Minister said that Dr. Ambedkar was a strong supporter of women’s rights. She played an important role in giving women rights like property rights, compensation at the time of divorce and maternity leave. He also gave the concept of “equal work-equal pay”. The Chief Minister said that the government is working towards implementing 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and Assembly under the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’.

Dr. Yadav said that the government has developed five important places associated with Baba Saheb as Panchteerth. To end caste discrimination, an incentive amount of Rs 2 lakh is being given to newly married couples doing inter-caste marriage. The government has dedicated a large part of the budget for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
