A shocking incident has come to light late night in the night shelter of Municipal Corporation in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Employees of the responsible organization and other people were caught having a liquor and mutton party in the night shelter built to escape the cold. This shameful act came to light in a sudden raid by the corporation officials. After which instructions have been given by the Municipal Corporation Commissioner to take action in the matter.
According to the information, the wood which was to be used in the night shelter to protect people from cold, was being used to cook mutton. It is alleged that 6-7 people were having a liquor and mutton party in the courtyard of the night shelter. During the raid, along with the corporation employees running the night shelter, some outsiders were also caught red handed. The corporation team reached the spot and seized liquor, mutton and other items.
Municipal Corporation’s Assistant Commissioner Ankita Jain said that all the people are being interrogated and strict action will be taken in this matter. He also said that such misuse of places like night shelters is not acceptable.

The matter gained momentum when it was revealed that the Chief Minister had recently instructed the officials to inspect the night shelters and keep them well maintained. Despite this, such negligence and unethical activity by the Municipal Corporation employees is very serious. There is huge anger among the local people due to this incident.

Taking the matter seriously, the Municipal Corporation has started investigation. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
