Aman Arora will be the president of AAP in Punjab, CM Bhagwant Mann announced

Aam Aadmi Party has made changes in the Punjab organization and changed its state president. The party has taken this responsibility from the then president Bhagwant Mann and handed it over to Aman Arora. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself announced this on his social media platform X. It is noteworthy that Mann had announced to leave the post of president at the time of the by-election itself. Apart from the President, the party has also announced the name of the Working President. The party has given this responsibility to Amansher Singh Shari.

Giving information about this, CM Mann said, today I have handed over the responsibility of party president to two of my close colleagues, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora and MLA Amansher Singh Shari Kalsi. The party has decided that Aman Arora will work as party president and Shari Kalsi will work as working president. I have full faith in both my colleagues that in the coming times, they will further strengthen the party and organization in Punjab and take it to new heights.

Aman Arora as the Hindu face of the party

Aman Arora, who heads the party, is identified as a Hindu leader. He is seen as the Hindu face of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. He is the son of two-time MLA Bhagwan Das Arora. At present, he is also a cabinet minister in the Punjab government. He became MLA for the first time in 2017. Before this, he had also contested elections on Congress ticket in 2012 and 2007. He joined Aam Aadmi Party in 2016.

Fear of transfer of Hindu votes to BJP

Aam Aadmi Party is worried about the increasing trend of Hindu voters towards BJP in Punjab. For this the party has taken this decision. There is about 40 percent Hindu population in the state. BJP has focused on Hindu votes as part of politics and these vote banks are considered to be the core voters of the party in the state. Hindu voters are in a decisive position in Sikh-dominated Punjab.
