Bollywood actor Rajesh Sharma is hospitalized after an accident during the shooting of Prabhas’ upcoming film. According to reports, he was bitten by some insect or poisonous spider after the shooting was over at Ramoji Film City. Initially, considering it to be minor, he did not seek treatment, but after a few hours, his health started deteriorating rapidly. After reaching Kolkata, he was admitted to the hospital, where doctors are continuously monitoring him. In the health update issued by the family, it has been said that the infection has spread rapidly in the leg and at present his condition is being closely monitored.

The health update of 55-year-old Rajesh Sharma, who has worked with Akshay Kumar in films like ‘Bhoot Bangla’, has been released by his family. According to this press note, Rajesh Sharma was present at Ramoji Film City for the shooting of a film of Prabhas. After the shooting was over, he was talking to local technicians in an area covered with dense bushes. During this time he was bitten by some insect or possibly a poisonous spider. The press note read, “Actor Rajesh Sharma was bitten by an insect, possibly a poisonous insect or spider, during the shoot. It did not seem serious at the time, so he did not seek immediate treatment.”

How did Rajesh Sharma’s health deteriorate after insect bite?
According to the family, about six hours after the incident, Rajesh Sharma started having severe pain in his right leg and his health started deteriorating. Despite this he took a flight to Kolkata. “During the journey he developed high fever, increased restlessness and his condition continued to deteriorate. The next day he was admitted to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria,” the press note said. It is reported that even after admission, he continues to complain of high fever, difficulty in breathing and increasing infection in his right leg.

According to the press note, the infection has spread from the toes to the knee and large blisters have formed in the affected area. Dr. Avijit Bhattacharya was quoted as saying, “It is too early to reach any definite conclusion. Rajesh Sharma is currently under the strict supervision of doctors and is not completely out of danger. Doctors are constantly monitoring, as there is a possibility that if the complication increases, a blood clot may form, which can prove fatal if it reaches the lungs.”
