Akhil’s Strong Prediction on Sumanth’s Varahi

Sumanth’s Mahendragiri Varahi is gearing up for its theatrical release on September 11. The film’s pre-release event was attended by the entire team, with Akhil Akkineni gracing the occasion as the chief guest.

Sumanth revealed that the film began when Santhossh narrated the story to him nearly three years ago. He described producers Madhu and Laxman as the two people who stood firmly behind the project and helped it grow.

He said that throughout the making of Mahendragiri Varahi, he repeatedly felt that some higher power was at work and that a divine force was watching over the team.

“I’m usually quiet and don’t get overly emotional, but my belief in this project has been unusually strong. Even Akhil sensed a positive vibe when he arrived at the event. Santhossh Jagarlapudi never fails to surprise me. There is a scene that Siddhu and I did; it is very simple, but it unlocks the entire movie. I didn’t believe Santhossh could design that scene so brilliantly, and perhaps Siddhu didn’t think so either, given the way it was designed. He has definitely shown his prowess in this film and has a very bright future ahead. Siddhu has added weight to this film, and he plays a very crucial character that unlocks the story,” Sumanth said.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda revealed that producer Madhu was the main reason he became part of Mahendragiri Varahi.

“We knew each other from our struggling days and had even attempted to do a film together. Although that project did not happen, Madhu later approached me for a cameo alongside Sumanth. Probably, destiny brought us together,” he said.

Siddhu also praised Sumanth’s career choices, saying that the actor has created the freedom to choose films across different genres and subjects.

“Mahendragiri Varahi is another very different and interesting film in Sumanth’s journey. The scene I share with Sumanth was wonderfully written by Santhossh. He executed the film exactly as he had narrated it, with virtually no gap between the narration and what appeared on screen,” he said.

Akhil Akkineni brought a personal touch to the event by speaking about his bond with Sumanth. He revealed that he has known Sumanth since childhood and has always been able to turn to him whenever he needed help.

Akhil said there were times when he could not call his parents, but Sumanth was the person he would call, and Sumanth never said no to him.

Akhil also praised Madhu and Laxman for backing a content-driven project and said today’s filmmakers need to truly believe in their content, execute it properly and bring it to theatres with conviction.

“I thank Siddhu for supporting the film despite his own successful career. Santhossh has put his heart and soul into the project. I’m extremely happy about the film. I have a prediction today — this movie is going to run and become a huge hit. I wish the entire team of Mahendragiri Varahi all the very best. Thank you for giving us another good content-based film in theatres,” Akhil said.
