Former couple Akanksha Chamola and Gaurav Khanna recently found themselves at the same gathering but did not exchange a word as they attended television producer Ektaa Kapoor’s Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai.
The two were spotted at opposite ends of the crowded venue, with media cameras capturing their brief interaction from a distance. Although they appeared to notice each other and exchanged a glance, neither approached the other or initiated a conversation.
Akanksha and Gaurav married on November 24, 2016, in Kanpur after reportedly meeting at an audition. The couple largely kept their personal life away from the public eye during their marriage.
Their relationship came under renewed public attention in 2026 after Akanksha discussed their separation on the streaming reality show ‘Lock Upp 2’. She said they had been living separately for around a year and were moving towards divorce.
Akanksha’s revelations about her marriage became a recurring subject of discussion during the show. She also spoke about differences between the two over parenthood, saying Gaurav wanted children while they did not share the same views on the matter.
Her ‘Lock Upp 2’ journey ended on August 5, when she was eliminated alongside Varun Yadav during the penultimate stage of the competition, just a day before the grand finale.
In September, Akanksha confirmed that their divorce proceedings were still ongoing and dismissed reports that she had sought Rs 10 crore in alimony. Gaurav, meanwhile, has largely maintained silence on the personal details surrounding their separation.
Their latest public appearance at Ektaa Kapoor’s Ganpati celebration has once again drawn attention to the former couple’s relationship and their decision to keep their interaction private.
