Riyadh [सऊदी अरब]July 21 (ANI): National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Monday. The objective of this meeting was to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries and discuss the latest regional developments. This meeting took place in Riyadh.

Recent developments in India-Saudi relations
Earlier in April, India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval paid an official visit to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Here he held high-level meetings with senior Saudi leadership focusing on bilateral relations, energy cooperation and regional development.
In December last year, Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Suhail Ijaz Khan and Abdulmajid bin Rashid Alsmari, Deputy Minister of Protocol Affairs, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had signed a bilateral visa exemption agreement. The move was aimed at facilitating movement under the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council.

India and Saudi Arabia enjoy close friendly relations. There is stable bilateral trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. The Ministry of External Affairs had said in an earlier statement that in recent years, Saudi Arabia has remained one of India’s largest crude and petroleum products sourcing destinations.
It is noteworthy that there is close cooperation between the two sides in the field of defense industries and capacity building.
Role of Overseas Indian Community
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian community in Saudi Arabia numbers around 27 lakh and serves as a vibrant bridge between the two countries. Indian expatriates are widely respected in the kingdom for their contribution to the development of Saudi Arabia. (ANI)
