Ajay Devgan, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey starrer comedy film ‘Dhamaal 4’ was once again seen running at a fast pace at the box office in the second weekend. After a decline on the first Friday, the film recorded a spectacular rise on Saturday and Sunday. After joining the 100 crore nett club, the film has now touched the figure of 125 crore nett on the 10th day. Interestingly, despite big releases like Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, the film’s earnings were not significantly affected and it continued to perform strongly.
What was the box office collection of ‘Dhamal 4’ on the 10th day?
According to reports, on the second Sunday i.e. 10th day, ‘Dhamal 4’ earned around Rs 12.75 crore nett. Earlier on the second Friday, the film’s earnings had dropped to Rs 5.50 crore. But on Saturday the film made a spectacular comeback and made a business of Rs 10.25 crore. After this, by the second weekend the total net collection of the film in India has reached Rs 124.50 crore.
The momentum of ‘Dhamal 4’ did not break even after the release of ‘The Odyssey’
Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ was released on July 17, due to which many premium screens went to the new film. Despite this, ‘Dhamal 4’ maintained its strong hold. The comedy franchise factor, support from the family audience and positive word of mouth seem to be going in favor of the film. Till the 10th day, the gross collection at the domestic box office has reached around Rs 148.40 crore. The worldwide gross collection of the film has reached Rs 169.90 crore. Out of this, the film has collected a gross of Rs 21.50 crore from the overseas market.
How was the performance of Dhamaal 4 in the first week?
The film had started with Rs 14 crore on the first day. After this, the franchise did its biggest business of Rs 22.50 crore on the second day and Rs 28.50 crore on the third day. By the end of the first week the film had reached Rs 96 crore nett. It entered the Rs 100 crore nett club on the eighth day and quickly moved ahead in the second weekend.
