New Delhi: A case of alleged rape of an air hostess going on duty has come to light. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and arrested the accused cab driver. After the incident, the investigation into the case has been intensified.
The victim had left for duty
According to the police, the air hostess was traveling by cab to go for duty. It is alleged that the cab driver stopped the vehicle at a deserted place on the way and allegedly raped her.
Immediate action after complaint
After the incident, the victim contacted the police and gave complete information. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case under relevant sections and took the accused into custody and later arrested him.
Medical examination and evidence is being collected
The police have conducted medical examination of the victim. Also, GPS location of the cab, CCTV footage, call records and other digital evidence are being examined.
Interrogation of the accused continues
The investigating officer says that all aspects of the case are being investigated impartially. After completion of the investigation, further legal action will be taken based on the evidence.
Note: This matter is under police investigation. The accused is not considered guilty in the eyes of law until the charges are proven in the court.
