Gujarat Police has arrested 48 Bangladeshis living illegally in Ahmedabad. All these Bangladeshis who had infiltrated into India had got fake identity cards made here. According to Ahmedabad Police, Bangladesh Embassy has been informed about all these people. Along with this, efforts to send all of them back to their home country have also started. According to the police, the arrest of these Bangladeshi citizens was done on the basis of intelligence input.

Let us tell you that last month two cases of fake documents were reported. Both these cases were of Bangladeshi citizens. Both of them had used fake certificates to avail the benefits of government schemes. After the matter came to light, Ahmedabad Police came into action and raided more than two hundred and fifty places and detained more than three hundred people and their certificates were checked. In this, 48 ​​people were found who were originally Bangladeshi and were living in India by entering India fraudulently.

Fake documents recovered

During the police investigation, it was found that all these people had also made fake documents proving Indian citizenship. Police have recovered all these documents from them. According to Ahmedabad Police, among the arrested Bangladeshis are some women, who were brought to India under human trafficking and were being forced into prostitution here. Some women were also kept to work in the brothels.

Many Bangladeshi citizens managed to escape

According to Ahmedabad ACP Bharat Patel, eight people were arrested in both these cases and on his information the remaining 40 people have been arrested. He told that among these, eight women and six minor children have been caught from places like Chandola Lake, Dani Limda, Shah-e-Alam and Kubernagar. He told that during this action many Bangladeshi citizens managed to escape. They are also being searched. Along with this, efforts are also being made to send all the Bangladeshi citizens back to their homeland.
