‘Aghornath’s blessings are upon me, whatever I say will come true…’, this is how I lost Rs 87 lakh in the affair of Tantrik

A unique case of fraud has come to light from Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Here in Kharsali village, a fake Tantrik duped a couple of Rs 87 lakh by claiming that he was blessed by Aghornath God. The victim couple registered a case in this regard at Selaqui police station. The police have started investigation and started searching for the accused.

Police said- the victim couple is a resident of Madhukar Vihar, Dehradun. The victim’s wife Aradhana Thapliyal gave a complaint and said that she is a government teacher in Nainbagh block of Tehri district. While her husband works in Madhya Pradesh.

Told- In the year 2018, when I got acquainted with Pankaj Panwar, a resident of Kharsali, Uttarkashi, he told that he has the blessings of Aghornath God. Everything that comes out of his mouth becomes true. Due to his religious faith, he invited him to his home. After this he started coming and going home. In the year 2019, the accused showed her husband the fear of the two plots purchased in Bhauwala and Shishambara having an adverse impact on the children and asked her to sell the plots soon.

‘Husband fell into trap’

The victim said- Pankaj also said that the responsibility of selling the plot will be his. On this the husband fell into her trap and sold the plot to the buyer brought by her. Pankaj also kept the money he got from selling the plot with himself. After this, the accused showed the husband an under-construction mall near Rispana Bridge on Haridwar Road, Dehradun and said that he would get him a floor in it for Rs 1 crore. They will get benefit from this.

The accused said that this mall belonged to his acquaintance. The husband fell into her trap and deposited around Rs 87 lakh in her bank account. Apart from this, he kept taking sometimes Rs 10 thousand and sometimes Rs 22 thousand in the name of conducting puja for the family in the village. But now he is missing. Neither is picking up the phone.

Search for the accused continues

Selaqui police station chief said that a case has been registered against the accused and the matter is being investigated. At present he is absconding. His search is on. The accused will be arrested soon.
