Just days after the shock of Jaspal Rana’s sudden demise due to a heart attack on June 12, his mother Shyama Devi has also passed away in the hospital after a prolonged illness. Another sad coincidence that was quite emotional was that Shyama Devi breathed her last on Sunday (June 28), the same day as her son Jaspal Rana’s 50th birthday.

A few days after his death, his mother Shyama Devi’s health also deteriorated, due to which she had to be admitted to the hospital. He breathed his last on Sunday after battling many health problems. This is the second big shock for Jaspal’s father Narayan Singh Rana, who was already deeply saddened by the loss of his young son.

After this sad news came to light, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his deep condolences on social media and wrote, ‘We have received the sad news of the demise of Shyama Devi ji, the wife of Narayan Singh Rana ji and the respected mother of our country’s famous shooter, Padmashree late Jaspal Rana ji. In this hour of grief, my deepest condolences are with the bereaved family. May God grant peace to the departed soul at His feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this unbearable grief.

Let us tell you, Jaspal Rana fell ill in the flight while returning with the Indian shooting team from the ISSF World Cup held in Munich, Germany. As soon as the plane landed in New Delhi, he was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors performed a heart surgery to remove the blockage in his heart. However, he died on June 12, just a few days after the procedure.

Jaspal Rana was not only an excellent shooter of India, but he also brought glory to the country as a brilliant coach. He was the personal coach of Indian star shooter Manu Bhaker in the Paris Olympics and under his guidance Manu won two bronze medals for the country.
