KKR and DC’s hopes are almost over
This season has been full of ups and downs for Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals. According to the current data, Kolkata now has only one percent chance of reaching the playoffs, whereas for Delhi, this hope is even less at 0.1 percent.
Both these teams lost their rhythm in the mid-season, due to which they are now suffering the consequences. Now it would be like a big miracle for these two teams to make it to the last four because they will not only have to win their matches but will also have to depend on the defeat of other teams.
RCB and GT occupy the top
This season, RCB captained by Rajat Patidar and Gujarat Titans led by Shubman Gill have given tough competition to the other teams. With 99 percent probability in the points table, both these teams have secured tickets for the playoffs.
The biggest strength of these teams has been their balance, where players have given match-winning performances in both the batting and bowling departments. Now the main competition between these two teams is to secure a place in the top-2 so that the path to the final can be easy.
MI and LSG were out of the tournament
The results of the 57th match of the season have made it clear that there is no way forward for Mumbai Indians and LSG. Both these teams failed to shine this year and have now been officially eliminated.
Talking about LSG, their middle-order batsmen disappointed a lot this season, due to which the team kept losing matches on important occasions. Now both these teams will play their remaining matches only to save honor and try to spoil the mathematics of other teams.
If we look at the latest points table of IPL 2026, RCB and GT have strengthened their positions the most. Just below them, Sunrisers Hyderabad remain the biggest contenders for the third and fourth positions with 73 percent chances and Punjab Kings with 64 percent chances.
At the same time, the problems of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals have not reduced, because they have only 37 percent and 27 percent chances left respectively.
