Demand to ban the agenda of AGM
Anastasia Oberoi filed an application in the Delhi High Court demanding a stay on the agenda of the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Whereas on behalf of the company, Mukul Rohatgi told the High Court that assurance has been given to include Anastasia Oberoi back on the board of the company and make her a director. He has not mentioned this in his petition. Mukul Rohatgi termed Anastasia Oberoi’s petition as not worthy of hearing.

Anastasia Oberoi claims that the draft of the AGM notice has been changed after she filed the petition. Now all the directors have been given retirement. Along with his name, the names of Shankar and sister Natasha are included in this.

What is the dispute of Oberoi family?
According to a news from ET, the dispute of Oberoi family is related to ancestral property. This dispute is related to the family’s strong holding and control over EIH Limited. This company does the business of Oberoi and Trident hotel chains. Earlier, the High Court has issued an interim order in this matter.
In this order, any kind of transfer of shares held by Prithviraj Singh Oberoi in EIH Limited, Oberoi Hotels and Oberoi Properties was banned. The High Court had given this order on the petition of Anastasia Oberoi, in which she had alleged that her siblings were creating obstacles in the implementation of her father’s will. Prithviraj Singh Oberoi died on 14 November last year.
