The proposed match is expected to take place during the extended FIFA international window, which runs from September 21 to October 6. If approved, the friendly is likely to be played in Kolkata during the first week of October.
Despite the advanced talks, neither the CBF nor the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has officially confirmed the fixture.
