South Indian Artist Association i.e. Nadigar Sangam said in a post on social media, ‘Famous film actor Ravikumar, famous for his brilliant career in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, died of cancer. He took a final breath at 10:30 am on Friday. It is being told that the actor breathed his last at Prashant Hospital in Vailacheri, Chennai.
Was made debut with Avargal
Born in Thiruvananthapuram, Ravikumar also worked in many TV shows in the last days of his life besides Tamil and Malayalam film industry. He in 1977 K.K. Was made debut with the film Avargal directed by Balachander. The film included big actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Sujata. However, his cinema journey had already started with Malayalam film Lakshya Prabhu (1968).
