After the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray has been given a big responsibility. In the meeting of MLAs held in Motoshree on Monday, Uddhav Thackeray was unanimously elected the leader of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs of both the Houses of Assembly and Legislative Council), while Thackeray group leader Bhaskar Jadhav has been elected the leader of the legislative party in the assembly, along with Sunil Prabhu has been given the responsibility of chief whip of the Thackeray group. Aditya Thackeray’s words will be final for Shiv Sena MLAs in the House. Along with this, the decisions of Shiv Sena Thackeray group will be taken only with the signature of Sunil Prabhu.
Let us tell you that Maharashtra has both an Assembly and a Legislative Council. Uddhav Thackeray will be the leader of the party MLAs in both the Assembly and the Legislative Council, while Bhaskar Jadhav will be the leader of the legislative party only in the Assembly.
Aditya, son of Shiv Sena (UBT) party president Uddhav Thackeray, had won the recently held assembly elections from Worli constituency by defeating Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena’s Milind Deora by 8,801 votes.
Sunil Prabhu made chief whip of the party
However, his victory margin has reduced compared to the last election 2019, where it was 67,427 votes.Senior party leader Ambadas Danve told reporters after the meeting of party MLAs that former minister Bhaskar Jadhav was elected the party legislature party leader in the state assembly, while Sunil Prabhu was named the party’s chief whip.

Newly appointed MLAs of Thackeray group were present in this meeting. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Uddhav Thackeray.
