Adhikmas Monthly Krishna Janmashtami 2026: Lord Shri Krishna was the 8th incarnation of Shri Hari Vishnu. Shri Krishna was born at midnight on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month in Dwapar Yuga. Ashtami of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month is celebrated as Krishna Janmashtami, but the birth of Lord Shri Krishna is also celebrated on Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of every month. This is called monthly Krishna Janmashtami. These days Adhikamas is going on and the monthly Krishna Janmashtami falling in it has special significance. On this day, fasting is observed as per rituals and Lord Krishna is worshipped.
There is a religious belief that by worshiping on this day, Lord Krishna becomes very happy and bestows blessings. The blessings of God bring happiness and prosperity in the house. - According to Drik Panchang, this time the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in Purushottam month will start at 03:24 am on 08 June 2026.
- This date will end the next day on June 9, 2026 at 03:23 am.
According to the belief of Udayatithi, Masik Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on Monday, 08 June 2026 in Adhikamas.
Adhikamas Monthly Krishna Janmashtami Puja Muhurta (Adhikmas Monthly Krishna Janmashtami 2026 Puja Muhurat)
On the day of Krishna Janmashtami of Adhikamas, sunrise will be at 05.23 am. Brahma Muhurta will be from 04:02 am to 04:42 am. Abhijit Muhurta will be from 11:52 am to 12:48 pm. The evening auspicious time will be from 07:18 pm to 08:18 pm.
Monthly Krishna Janmashtami Puja Method (Masik Krishna Janmashtami Puja Vidhi)
Wake up early, take bath etc. and wear clean yellow colored clothes. Place a stool in the temple of the house and spread a red or yellow cloth over it. Install the statue of Lord Krishna at the post. Take a pledge to fast by taking water, flowers, basil leaves or sweets in your hand. Anoint the idol of Lord Krishna with Panchamrit and adorn it after dressing it in new clothes. Offer yellow fruits, flowers, sweets and sandalwood to Lord Krishna. Chant the mantra while lighting a ghee lamp. Conclude the puja by performing aarti. Break the fast after 12 midnight or after sunrise the next day after performing puja.
