Adhik Maas Purnima 2026: In Sanatan Dharma, the date of full moon is considered special and very sacred. There are 12 full moon dates in a year. On this day, bathing in Ganga and other holy rivers and then donating is of great importance. There is a religious belief that on the day of full moon, religious activities like bathing, charity and worship are considered very auspicious. The full moon of Adhikamas is considered very special, because it comes once in three years. On the full moon day of Adhikamas, bathing, charity, worship, chanting, penance and offering Arghya to the Moon God is considered very important.
Lord Satyanarayan is worshiped in the morning on the full moon day of Adhikamas and his fast story is read. By worshiping the Moon during the full moon fast of Adhikamas, the Moon defect in the horoscope is removed. Tomorrow i.e. on 30th May, there is a fast on the full moon day of Adhikamas. According to the calendar, Purnima Tithi will be observed tomorrow morning at 11.57 am. last night The moon will rise on the full moon day, hence the full moon fast is going to be observed tomorrow. There will be Purnima Tithi at the time of sunrise on 31st May, hence full moon bath and donation will be done on this day. The full moon of Adhikamas will be in Ravi and Shiva Yoga (Adhik Maas Purnima 2026 Subh Yog)
Tomorrow there will be Adhikamaas Purnima fast, Ravi Yoga and Shiva Yoga. Ravi Yoga will last from 05:24 am in the morning to 01:20 pm. Whereas Shiva Yoga will last from morning till night. Ravi Yoga is considered to remove all the defects. Whatever work is done in Ravi Yoga, it gets auspicious results. Whereas Shiva Yoga is considered best for chanting, meditation, yoga and sadhana.
Time of offering Arghya to Adhikamas Purnima Moon (Adhik Maas Purnima 2026 Chandra Arghya Time)
On the day of Adhikamas Purnima fast i.e. tomorrow evening, the moon will rise at 06.40 pm. At that time the moon will rise, but the best time to offer Arghya to the Moon God will be when the moon is shining in its full form in the sky.
