According to the Vedic calendar, Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month will start at 3:24 am on Monday, June 8, 2026 and will end at 3:23 am on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. However, Udaya Tithi and Pradosh Kaal are given special importance for fasting and worship. For this reason, the fast and worship of Adhikamaas Kalashtami will be done on Monday, June 8, 2026.
How to worship on the day of Kalashtami?
On the day of Kalashtami, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. After this meditate on Lord Shiva and Kaal Bhairav. Light a lamp at the temple or place of worship and offer flowers, incense, fruits and sweets to Kaal Bhairav. Chanting Om Kalabhairavaya Namah mantra on this day is also considered auspicious. Many devotees observe fast throughout the day and also perform special puja at night.
