Adhik Maas Amavasya 2026: Adhikamaas is going on these days. This month has been dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Therefore this month is called Purushottam month. This month will be on 15th June. The fasts, festivals and dates falling in this month are very special, because they fall once in three years. Today is the day of bathing and donation on the full moon day of Adhikamas. There will be new moon of Adhikamas in the month of June. The date of Amavasya has been dedicated to the ancestors.
According to belief, ancestors come to earth on this date. This is the reason why on this day, rituals like Tarpan, Pind Daan and charity are especially done for the ancestors. The ancestors are pleased with these deeds and bless their descendants. There is prosperity in the house due to the blessings of ancestors. According to the Panchang, the new moon day of Jyeshtha month will fall on June 15. Let us know the auspicious time and remedies of this Amavasya.
Adhikamas Amavasya date (Adhik Maas Amavasya 2026 Tithi)
- According to the Panchang, the new moon date of Jyeshtha Adhikamas will start on June 14, 2026 at 12:19 pm.
- This Amavasya Tithi will end on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 8:23 am this morning.
In such a situation, according to the belief of Udaya Tithi, Amavasya of Adhikamas will be celebrated on Monday, June 15, 2026. This will be Somvati Amavasya.
Adhikamas Amavasya auspicious time (Adhik Maas Amavasya 2026 Subh Muhurat)
On the new moon day of Adhikamas wee hours- It will last from 04:02 am to 04:43 am. Abhijeet Muhurat- It will be from 11:54 am in the morning to 12:50 pm.Twilight time- It will last from 7:19 pm to 7:39 pm.Amrit Kaal- It will be from 11:28 am in the morning to 12:52 pm.
Remedies for Adhikamas Amavasya (Remedies for Adhik Maas Amavasya)
- On the new moon day of Adhikamas, keep one big lamp each on either side of the main door of the house. Put cow dung cakes in the lamp. Then burn it. When the smoke stops coming out from the cow dung cakes, worship both the lamps. By doing this both the gods and ancestors will be pleased.
- On the new moon day of Adhikamas, worship the Peepal tree and offer water and sacred thread to it. Sit there and chant the mantra ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay’. Then also circumambulate the Peepal tree.
- On the new moon day of Adhikamas, make balls of flour and give them to the fishes present in any pond or river. By following this remedy the financial condition remains good.
