Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, while addressing the group’s Annual General Meeting (AGM 2026), made a strong attack on the opponents and external challenges. He said in clear words that we never stopped, nor bowed down, we stood strong even in difficult times. Our focus is not on controversies or debates, but only on our work and the development of the country. Referring to the attacks by foreign short-sellers and all the ups and downs in the recent past, he said that the storms that came to test us have made our infrastructure more strong and flexible.
strength to stand firm in difficult times
Recalling his mother’s struggles and lessons, Gautam Adani said that true strength lies in perseverance. We boldly countered the baseless allegations made by foreign short-sellers and the systematic attacks on our reputation. Our three core values—Courage, Trust and Commitment—have proven that no challenge can weaken the foundation of the Adani Group.
‘Work-Centric’ and ‘Local First’ Employment Strategy
Describing the employees as builders of the country, the Chairman said that you are not just employees but nation builders. The group has announced a three-layer employment and organizational policy for upcoming projects. At the project sites, opportunities will be given first to the nearby local communities, then to the youth of the state and then to external candidates. Air-conditioned accommodation for 50,000 workers at remote sites like Mundra and Khavda and a state-of-the-art centralized cloud kitchen is being built in Mundra, which will serve 1,00,000 nutritious meals daily.
new three layer structure
Now a three-layer governance model is being implemented for quick decisions in a big organization like Adani Group. Gautam Adani said that this will reduce the level of administrative approvals and decisions which earlier took days to take at the site level, can now be completed in a few hours.
Big roadmap on green energy and mega projects

The group’s profit after tax (PAT) increased by 71 percent to a record Rs 40,129 crore.
