Abhivyanjana 5.0: Hundreds of poets and litterateurs from across the country gathered in the Abhivyanjana 5.0 annual convention organized in Kaladhungi, Nainital. Many stalwarts including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Kumar Vishwas expressed their views on literature, culture and the role of the young generation.
Nainital Abhivyanjana 5.0 Annual Convention: The historical town Kaladhungi, situated in the lush green lap of nature and in the foothills of the Himalayas, became the center of literary consciousness of the country when the annual convention of ‘Abhivyanjana 5.0’ was held here. More than 400 veteran poets, writers and young creators from every corner of the country participated in this three-day Mahakumbh organized by Lalit Foundation. This festival not only underlined the power of words but also proved that when the spiritual energy of Devbhoomi and literature come together, the soul of the nation awakens.

The eminent Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, who arrived as the chief guest in the inaugural session of the convention, started the program by lighting the lamp in front of the picture of Mother Saraswati. The Chief Minister appeared very emotional and spontaneous in his address. Describing poets as mirrors of the society, he said, ‘Poets are not just creators of words, but they are thinkers, guides and inspirers of the society. Whenever society is engulfed in confusion, poets pave the way for positive change through their writings. India’s freedom movement was also given momentum by the poems of our writers.
Shared emotional memories with Kumar Vishwas
The Chief Minister recalled his two and a half decade old relationship with renowned poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas. Referring to an old incident in Dehradun, he told how he had tears in his eyes after listening to the poetry recitation of Kumar Vishwas in a program organized on the martyrs of the country and Kumar Vishwas had hugged him like an elder brother. The Chief Minister said that Kumar ji’s orders are always happily acceptable to him.
Veteran creators come together, confluence of vigor, humor and consciousness
A wonderful combination of three generations of the literary world was seen on the stage. Padmashree Dr. Ashok Chakradhar, in his unique style, made a sharp attack on social concerns with a dash of humor and satire. When Dr. Hariom Pawar, in his familiar energetic style, read poems of patriotism and public awareness, the entire pandal resonated with the slogan ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. At the same time, Dr. Kumar Vishwas not only spread the color of love with his melodious voice and unique presentation, but also led this ritual of connecting the young generation with literature. Demand of Dr. Kumar Vishwas, ‘Pant Sahitya Niwas’ built in Kaladhungi
From the stage, Dr. Kumar Vishwas placed a very important and unique demand before the Chief Minister on behalf of the poets and budding talents from across the country. He said that away from the noise and pollution of the country and abroad, there should be a solitary place of meditation for poets in this peaceful land of spiritual consciousness of Uttarakhand. Kumar Vishwas announced from the stage, ‘If the Uttarakhand government allots land in Kaladhungi or any quiet area of Devbhoomi for poets to stay and write, then I myself contribute ₹ 1 crore from my own pocket for the construction of this Sahitya Niwas. We will name it ‘Pant Niwas’ or ‘Prakriti Niwas’ after the beautiful poet of nature Sumitranandan Pant, where the children of our new generation can come and create literature in solitude. The Chief Minister showed a very positive attitude on this proposal and assured to consider it and search for land.
Emotional tribute given to the late young poet
Amidst this festival of literature, a very sad moment also came. At the very beginning of the program, deep condolence was expressed on the demise of Piyush, a very promising and promising young poet from Central India, in an accidental road accident. The entire House, including Kumar Vishwas and Chief Minister Dhami, paid tribute to the departed soul by observing silence and said that this loss is irreparable, but the entire Kavi Kul stands with the bereaved family.
