In Jammu and Kashmir, there is a continuous campaign to end the terrorists. On one hand, the police is fighting against the terrorists, on the other hand, they are playing their important role in maintaining law and order in the valley. Under this, the police started a QR code based feedback system in Srinagar to strengthen the trust of the people and bring accountability and transparency to the police department, so that the trust and connection of the people can be increased.
Under this app, the police is seeking feedback from people about their service. By scanning the QR code, a common citizen can rank police work and give feedback to the police. According to SSP Imtiaz Hussain of Srinagar Police, where he will be aware of the response of the people with this feedback system, the police will become accountable and transparent with this system. He says that this is the first system in the country that will give the police correct information about their work.
People will be able to give feedback
A police spokesman said that this step has been taken to strengthen transparency, accountability and people’s trust. The Srinagar Police has introduced the QR code based feedback management system called confidence QR, so that feedback can be taken from the general public about the functioning and services provided by the police. He said that all these police stations, police offices and bus stops, markets and major institutions as well as major public places have been installed.
Once the QR code is scanned, users are sent to a safe feedback page, where they can share their experiences, suggestions and concerns related to police behavior, accountability and overall service distribution. The spokesperson said that this process is simple and it takes less than a minute. He said that Srinagar Police has also started a WhatsApp number 8899112888, where citizens can send feedback directly through text, voice messages, photos or videos.
Feedback management will be monitored
The spokesman said that a dedicated feedback management cell at the SSP Srinagar office would regularly monitor feedback, ensure quick action on complaints and identify commendable conduct by police personnel. He said that its purpose is to promote accountability and transparency, as well as to increase the trust of the people on the police.
