Amitabh Bachchan, the emperor of Hindi films, has a car today, a bungalow, is a wealth, a shape, but he has a desire that still knocks with his dreams in his dreams when Amitabh remembers his childhood. Amitabh Bachchan’s wish was ‘Rani Bettiah’, whose urge to see a glimpse remained incomplete. The ‘Rani Bettiah’ who is still a secret for Amitabh, is a rustic, which he left his hometown Prayagraj before coming to Mumbai.

Amitabh, Prayagraj and Rani Bettiah Kothi

Born on 11 October 1942 in Berar Nursing Home in Prayagraj, Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s son who knows the world as Amitabh was named by his father “Inklab” but Sumitranandan Pant, the close poet of Harivanshrai Bachchan, gave him a Amitabh with an inkalab which means the light that never ends. With this light of Amitabh, even though every wish of him has been fulfilled today, there was a wish of Big B which could not be fulfilled till date. Its belief is from the luxurious kothi of Prayagraj which is called the Kothi of “Bettiah -Rani”.

Prayagraj litterateur Yash Malaviya says that Harivansh Rai Bachchan has mentioned this kothi in a very romantic manner in his autobiography “incomplete dream”. This was the period when Amitabh lived on rent with his family members in the bungalow on this 7 Clive Road of Prayagraj. While going to his school Boyz High School from Clive Road, Amitabh stopped near the Kothi of this queen Bettiah and looked inside from her boundary wall and see who is Rani Bettiah, how is Rani Bettiah and this nuisance, he used to move forward for the school. Harivansh Rai Bachchan himself has written this incident in his self -tale “Far from Basere”.

What is the tilas of Queen Bettiah’s Kothi?

According to Dr. Janak Pandey, a child psychology expert, Amitabh’s father’s literary environment and home discourse also gives rise to such characters and curiosity. The world of fairies is also a part of this. Amitabh left Prayagraj in 1956 and moved from here to Sherwood and then from there to Mumbai, but who was “Rani Bettiah”, what is Rani Bettiah’s Kothi Kothi, this is still a mystery for Amitabh. After getting out of his imagination of Balman, Amitabh still thinks about this kothi in his dreams, he has mentioned this in his interview many times.

Rani Bettiah’s vault will open tomorrow

Amitabh, who was Rani Bettiah, could not know till date, but today the office where it was Kothi has been made a labor court office. Madhav, who has been guarding this kothi since the old times, says that this Alishan Kothi, built in 22 bighas in the middle of the city, was taken into possession by the Courts of Ward after Rani Bettiah died in 1951 and the district administration still takes Rs 267 monthly. But now a team of officials of Bihar Revenue Council has reached Prayagraj. This team visited Prayagraj recently and held meetings with the officials here and requested to identify the properties of Bettiah Raj Gharana.
