Born on 11 October 1942 in Berar Nursing Home in Prayagraj, Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s son who knows the world as Amitabh was named by his father “Inklab” but Sumitranandan Pant, the close poet of Harivanshrai Bachchan, gave him a Amitabh with an inkalab which means the light that never ends. With this light of Amitabh, even though every wish of him has been fulfilled today, there was a wish of Big B which could not be fulfilled till date. Its belief is from the luxurious kothi of Prayagraj which is called the Kothi of “Bettiah -Rani”.
Prayagraj litterateur Yash Malaviya says that Harivansh Rai Bachchan has mentioned this kothi in a very romantic manner in his autobiography “incomplete dream”. This was the period when Amitabh lived on rent with his family members in the bungalow on this 7 Clive Road of Prayagraj. While going to his school Boyz High School from Clive Road, Amitabh stopped near the Kothi of this queen Bettiah and looked inside from her boundary wall and see who is Rani Bettiah, how is Rani Bettiah and this nuisance, he used to move forward for the school. Harivansh Rai Bachchan himself has written this incident in his self -tale “Far from Basere”.
What is the tilas of Queen Bettiah’s Kothi?
According to Dr. Janak Pandey, a child psychology expert, Amitabh’s father’s literary environment and home discourse also gives rise to such characters and curiosity. Rani Bettiah’s vault will open tomorrow

This team visited Prayagraj recently and held meetings with the officials here and requested to identify the properties of Bettiah Raj Gharana.
In this episode, the team also went to the Triveni branch of State Bank of India where the vault of Rani Janaki Kunar is kept. In this vault, the prized diamonds and jewels of the queen are kept, which is being priced at 200 crores. The royal family is also expected to have some important documents. The administration is preparing to open this vault on 16 April 2025 i.e. tomorrow. It is believed that many secrets will also come out in it with Tijari.
