Annu Kapoor is once again in the headlines for her frank statement. Recently, while discussing actress Tamannaah Bhatia’s superhit song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ (Stree 2), he had used the word ‘Milky Body’ for her. After this comment, many people trolled him on social media and accused him of objectifying the actress. Now Annu Kapoor has given his clarification on this entire controversy. He said that his intention was not to insult any woman and if the same thing had been said in English then perhaps there would not have been so much controversy.
What was the whole matter?
During a conversation, Annu Kapoor, while referring to Tamannaah Bhatia’s dance number ‘Aaj Ki Raat’, had used the word ‘Dudhiya Badan’ i.e. milky body for her. This video went viral on social media, after which many users raised questions on his language. Many people considered it to be an objectionable comment towards women, while some people considered it to be just a common adjective of Hindi language.

Annu Kapoor gave clarification
In an interview, Annu Kapoor said that people’s thinking has become different regarding English and Hindi words. He said, ‘If I had said ‘Milky Body’ then perhaps no one would have had a problem, but I said ‘Dudhiya Badan’ in Hindi, so people felt bad.’ He said that even today the Indian society mentally accepts English more, whereas objections are quickly raised on Hindi words.
Annu Kapoor clearly said that he can never insult any woman or man. He said, ‘I am the last person in this world who would disrespect a woman. If my words have hurt Tamannaah Bhatia, then I apologize to her. He further said that if his comment had hurt the actress then he apologizes for it.
Apologized to Tamannaah Bhatia
Annu Kapoor said that he had only used one complimentary word for Tamannaah, but he would not hesitate to apologize if it was taken in the wrong way. He said, ‘If you feel bad about what I said, I apologize. The matter should be settled. He also wished Tamanna like “May you have good luck”.

Annu Kapoor is being trolled on social media
After Annu Kapoor’s statement, people’s opinion on social media was divided into two parts. A section believes that such words should not be used for an actress on a public platform. While some say that ‘milky body’ has long been a traditional idiom used to describe beauty in Hindi literature and films and should not be taken out of context. At present, there has been no reaction from Tamannaah Bhatia on this entire controversy.
