The suspicious death of a 40-year-old woman in Rampur Maniharan of Saharanpur created a sensation. The family members have accused the husband of murdering her by giving her intoxicants and suffocating her with a pillow. The accused is said to be absconding after the incident. The police is investigating the case.
A sensational case has come to light from Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Here a woman died under suspicious circumstances. As soon as information about the incident was received, there was a stir in the entire area. When the family reached the spot after receiving a phone call at midnight, they found the woman dead inside the house, while her husband was absconding from there. The family members have made serious allegations and said that the woman was murdered by her husband. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem and have started investigating the matter.
Midnight call opened the case
This incident is being reported from Mohalla Mahal of Rampur Maniharan police station area of Saharanpur district. The deceased woman has been identified as 40-year-old Shabana. Family members say that they received a phone call around 12:30 in the night. It was told in the call that Shabana’s husband Salim himself had called and said that he had murdered his wife and the family members should be informed about it. On hearing this news the family members immediately reached the spot. When they looked inside the house, Shabana was lying dead, while the accused husband had fled from there.

The dispute was going on since marriage
According to family members, Shabana was married to Salim, a resident of Kailashpur village of Gagalhedi police station area, about 20 years ago. It is alleged that the husband’s behavior had changed some time after marriage. The family says that Salim often used to beat Shabana. Panchayat was called several times to resolve this dispute, but there was no significant improvement in the situation.
A separate house was built for the safety of the daughter.
It is being told that keeping in mind the safety of the daughter, the family had built a separate house for her in Rampur Maniharan area. It was hoped that this would reduce the ongoing dispute between the two. But family members say that despite this the incidents of fights and harassment did not stop. They allege that with time Salim’s behavior became more aggressive.
Allegation of murder, police engaged in investigation
The family alleges that the accused first gave intoxicants to the woman and then killed her by pressing her face with a pillow. However, the police say that the real cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report comes. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police and forensic team reached the spot. The team collected necessary evidence from the spot and has also started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby.

Regarding the matter, police officer Vyom Bindal said that information about the body of the woman was received late in the night. Police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The family members have accused the woman’s husband of murder. The police is currently investigating the entire matter in depth.
Father appealed for justice
The deceased’s father Inam says that his daughter has been murdered. He told that when he reached the spot after receiving the call, the door of the house was open and his daughter was lying dead inside. He has demanded from the police that the accused should be arrested soon and given the harshest punishment. At present, the police is busy searching for the accused and the truth of the case is expected to become more clear after the post mortem report comes.
