ASUS ROG marks 20 years, Indian gamers could win trip to Taiwan HQ

New Delhi: The gaming hardware market in India has grown rapidly over the past few years. From college dorm rooms to esports cafés, gaming PCs and accessories have become a familiar sight. Many gamers here grew up watching global brands like ASUS Republic of Gamers build a reputation in the competitive PC gaming space.

Now the company is marking a major milestone. ASUS Republic of Gamers, widely known as ROG, has completed 20 years in the gaming hardware business. To mark the occasion, the company has launched a nationwide community initiative focused on Indian gamers and their personal stories with the brand.

ROG celebrates two decades with gamer community initiative

ASUS says the initiative invites gamers across India to share their experiences with ROG devices and the role gaming has played in their lives. Participants can submit creative content describing their gaming journey.

Entries can include different formats such as:

  • Short videos or reels
  • Gaming resumes or highlight clips
  • Storytelling posts describing gaming milestones

Gamers can also include links to their gaming channels on platforms such as YouTube or Twitch to support their entries.

Arnold Su, Vice President for Consumer and Gaming PC at ASUS India, spoke about the idea behind the initiative, “For the past 20 years, ROG has been driven by the passion of gamers and creators who continue to inspire us to innovate. As we celebrate this milestone, the launch of ROG Super Fan India is our way of celebrating the community that has supported us through this journey.”

Winners to travel to Taiwan for anniversary event

Two participants from India will be selected as winners. They will receive an all expenses paid trip to Taiwan, where the ROG brand was originally created.

The winners will visit the ROG headquarters and attend the 20th anniversary celebrations.

Other finalists will receive gaming accessories and recognition certificates.

The selection process includes an evaluation stage followed by a final offline judging round where participants present their gaming story and engagement with the community.

Growing gaming culture in India

India’s gaming ecosystem has changed a lot over the past decade. What started with casual PC gaming has now expanded into esports tournaments, content creators and livestream communities.

Many gamers today build online identities through streaming platforms and gaming videos. Companies in the hardware industry have begun paying closer attention to these communities.

ROG says the initiative aims to highlight the creativity and dedication of Indian gamers. The effort runs from March 12 to March 31, with winners announced later after evaluation.
