Due to today’s lifestyle and eating habits, cancer cases are continuously increasing. One of these is oral cancer. Generally people believe that only those who consume tobacco, gutkha, beedi or cigarette get this disease, but recently a video of Dr. Akshay Kewalani shocked everyone.
He told that a 21 year old boy came to his OPD who was suffering from oral cancer, even though he did not smoke tobacco or smoke anything.
Oral Cancer: The doctor told that one of the teeth of this boy was very sharp, due to which his tongue kept getting cut again and again. Due to continuous cuts on the tongue, a wound was formed and gradually the inflammation increased there. This prolonged inflammation became the cause of oral cancer. According to Dr. Kewalani, if oral checkup was done on time, this serious condition could have been avoided.
In India, people do not take teeth and mouth problems seriously, which is why most cases of oral cancer are detected in the last stage. Compared to other cancers, oral cancer is considered very painful and rapidly spreading.
