Uttarakhand Investment Favorability Index 2026: Uttarakhand has achieved a major achievement in the field of investment. In the Investment Friendliness Index-2026 released by NITI Aayog, the state has secured the overall first position in the category of hilly and north-eastern states. Along with this, Uttarakhand has made its strong identity in the ‘Front Runner’ category by securing 11th place with 47.5 points in the list of all the states and union territories of the country.
On what parameters was the evaluation done in Investmentlines Friends Index 2026?
NITI Aayog evaluated the states and union territories for this index on the basis of several important parameters. These included major aspects like business environment, infrastructure, resource availability and financial health. Uttarakhand’s performance in all these parameters was quite impressive. The state secured first position in the field of overall investment friendliness and financial health. It got second rank in terms of business environment and availability of resources and third rank in terms of infrastructure.

He said that consistently good ranking in various indices of NITI Aayog is the result of investor friendly policies of the state government, transparent administration, fast decision making process and favorable environment for industries. The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working with ‘optionless resolve’ to make Uttarakhand the leading investment destination of the country. The government is paying special attention to providing world-class facilities to investors, creating a better environment for industries and strengthening the infrastructure.

The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is to increase investment as well as create more and more employment opportunities for the local youth.
