‘No deal except unconditional surrender’: Trump’s warning to Iran as war enters day 7

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has rejected the possibility of negotiations with Iran and said the United States will accept nothing less than unconditional surrender from Tehran. He also suggested that a change in Iranian leadership must follow any such outcome.

Trump made the remarks in a post on his social media platform Truth Social. The message marked his clearest statement yet on the objectives of the ongoing conflict, which began on February 28.

“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER,” Trump wrote.

His remarks appear to shut down diplomatic efforts that several countries had started in recent days to reduce tensions and bring the sides to the negotiating table.
