She was not feeling well during pregnancy, so she asked for permission to eat crackers in between work. A woman was fired from her job just because of this simple thing. This woman named Jin has shared this surprising story of hers on social media. To avoid problems caused by pregnancy, she messaged her manager asking if she could eat crackers during work. But just 3 hours after this message, the company gave him a letter to fire him!

Jin has shared both the messages sent to his manager and the termination letter received from the company. Jin wrote in the message to the manager, ‘I am ready for tomorrow’s shift. But I want to share something personal with you. I am pregnant and because of this I am facing some problems. I feel hungry again and again and feel unwell. Can I bring some crackers to eat while on duty?’

Just 3 hours after sending this message, Jin received the termination letter. It was written that he had not successfully completed his probation period. According to the letter, he is being fired from the job on July 22 and his notice period will be one week before that. The company said that the notice period salary and other benefits will be given to them.

Jin wrote in his post, ‘I told this after trusting my manager. I thought he would understand. There is no one to support me even at home. I was stupid. Jin also made it clear that she will not go to work during the notice period.

Many people asked in the comments why they had to ask for permission to eat snacks? On this, Jin said, ‘Last week itself, the manager had messaged in the group that no employee can eat anything before the 20-minute unpaid break after working for 6 hours. There was a strict ban on bringing food from outside in our restaurant, so out of fear I asked in advance. I just talked about eating a cracker every 20 minutes, and that’s why they fired me.’

People are reacting fiercely to whose post. One user wrote, ‘This is very cruel, can’t legal action be taken against him?’ Many people called it discrimination against women. Some also said that even today many companies hesitate in giving jobs to newly married or pregnant women.
