Weather Update 17 July 2026: Today i.e. on 17th July 2026, different weather patterns will be seen in different parts of the country. At some places, monsoon will become active and cause light to moderate rains, while at other places, despite the movement of clouds, heat and humidity will trouble people. Weather pattern will be different in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in some areas, while at some places there will be only partial cloud cover.
Delhi-NCR: Movement of clouds, but no relief from heat
The maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR on July 17 is likely to be around 38 degrees and minimum 29 degrees Celsius. The sky will remain partly cloudy throughout the day, but the chances of rain are very less. People will feel hot due to humidity. The weather is expected to remain almost the same for the next two days i.e. 18th and 19th July and no warning has been issued.

Uttar Pradesh: Rain in eastern parts, cloud cover in west
The weather in Uttar Pradesh will be different region wise. There is a possibility of cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle in Lucknow, Kanpur and Ayodhya. Whereas in Prayagraj and Varanasi, periods of rain with thunder and lightning can be seen and the possibility of heavy rain has been predicted at some places on July 18-19. On the other hand, heat may persist amidst clouds in western districts like Agra and Meerut. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 33 to 38 degrees Celsius.
Madhya Pradesh: Alert of rain with thunder and lightning in many districts
In Madhya Pradesh, there is a possibility of thunder, lightning and rain amidst partly cloudy sky on July 17 in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Ujjain. The weather department has also warned of lightning in many areas. The temperature will be between 31 to 36 degrees Celsius. Rain activities may continue in most parts of the state on July 18 and 19 also.

Rajasthan: Dry weather in most districts, chances of rain in Udaipur
Jaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer of Rajasthan will remain partly cloudy on July 17, but the chances of rain are less. The temperature here can reach 35 to 39 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of light rain or drizzle in Udaipur. The weather will remain similar in most of the districts in the next two days also.
Maharashtra: Continuous rain in Mumbai, weather will change in Pune
Monsoon remains fully active in Maharashtra. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain throughout the day in Mumbai on July 17, while the rain may continue on July 18 and 19 as well. There are signs of changing weather in Pune also. There is a possibility of light rain on 17th July, while good rain is expected on 18th and 19th July. The temperature will be around 31 to 32 degrees Celsius.
How will the weather be in the next three days?
Rain activities will continue over eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and many districts of Madhya Pradesh during July 18 and 19. Monsoon will remain active in Maharashtra also. There are currently no signs of heavy rain in Delhi-NCR, while the weather is likely to remain dry in most parts of Rajasthan. In such areas where rain and thunder are forecast, people will need to remain alert by following the advice of the Meteorological Department.
