Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described it as ‘action to remove the threat from Iran’s terrorist regime’. US President Donald Trump also confirmed the ‘major combat operation’, after which loud explosions were heard in many cities including Tehran.
Missile attack on US base in Bahrain
Iran retaliated immediately after the US-Israeli attack. According to reports, the Iranian ballistic missile fell near the service center of ‘US Fifth Fleet’ located in Jufair area of Bahrain. Apart from this, UAE’s Al Dhafra Air Base, Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base and Kuwait’s Al Salem Air Base were also targeted.
