RJ Princey Parikh was trolled for praising cricketer David Miller after India’s defeat in the T20 World Cup. She faced online rape threats and body shaming. Now she will complain to the police against cyber bullying.
Ahmedabad: After South Africa’s win against India in the T20 World Cup, social media influencer RJ Princy Parikh got a lot of flak for sharing a video with cricketer David Miller. He is being trolled a lot online. Princi told that after her reel with Miller went viral, she is receiving rape threats and she is also being body shamed.
The matter is related to the Super 8 match held on Sunday, in which South Africa defeated India by 76 runs. In this match, David Miller played a brilliant inning of 63 runs in 35 balls and was the top scorer of South Africa. After this match in Ahmedabad, Prince posted a video praising Miller. The caption of the video read, “David Miller, what a player he is.” In this video, Princess was praising Miller’s batting.
As soon as the video went viral, some cricket fans targeted Princy. He started receiving very lewd comments and threats. The matter escalated so much that Princi had to remove her video from Facebook. However, this video is still present on his Instagram. Princi has made it clear that she will file a police complaint against this cyber bullying.
Princi said, “The comments under the video devastated me. People were abusing me, making fun of my body and to top it all, I was even threatened with rape.” He further said, “I am also saddened by India’s defeat, but why is a girl being attacked so crudely because of it?”
