The captain of Mumbai Indians New York achieved this feat in the match against Washington Freedom. The record for the fastest century in Major League Cricket played in T20 format was earlier in the name of New Zealand’s Finn Allen. But Caribbean batsman Nicholas Pooran broke Finn Allen’s record by playing 4 balls less to complete his century. On the basis of Puran’s explosive innings, Mumbai Indians New York broke the record of the highest total in Major League Cricket while playing first against Washington Freedom.

Nicholas Pooran scored 106 runs in the match facing 33 balls at a strike rate of 321.21, which included 13 sixes and 5 fours. During this, Puran completed his century in 30 balls, which is a new record for the fastest century in the history of Major League Cricket. Finn Allen had earlier scored the fastest century in 34 balls.
