Gurugram: In a shocking incident, a road rage involving a retired army officer was reported in Gurgaon. The incident occurred on the night of February 21, when he was returning home after attending a medical emergency in the family.
The incident took place after a minor collision between two vehicles. The veteran officer, Anil Yadav, was reportedly assaulted by occupants of the other vehicle. Not only was he injured in the incident, but his car was also damaged.
Subsequently, the ex-army soldier was admitted to a hospital in Gurugram, where he received medical treatment. Soon after the incident came to light, the Indian Army approached the Gurugram Police and urged it to look into the incident.
FIR filed in the case
Sharing details, the police said as per ns agency , “An FIR has been registered at Police Station Sector-50, Gurugram, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Acting swiftly, Gurugram Police have arrested five individuals in the case. The veteran officer has since been discharged from the hospital and has returned to his residence.” The police is further probing the case as per legal process.
In a written complaint to the police, said that on the day of the incident, his car collided with another car on the Faridabad Road near Vatika Chowk. When he opened the door to check on his car, some young men from the other car pulled him out and began assaulting him. He was thrown out of the car, kicked him, and broke the lights and windows of his car with a beer bottle, the ex-army man wrote in his complaint. The case has been registered at Sector 50 Police Station, Gurugram, under relevant sections of the IPC.
5 accused in custody
The police have taken five people in the custody. They have been identified as Pankaj (23) Vikas (21 ), Nikhil (21), Sahil (22 ), and Ankit Kumar (22 years). The accused They had come to Badshahpur for a wedding. Of them, Pankaj, Sahil and Ankit work in Nippon Company Rewari. Vikas, on the other hand is BA second-year student and Nikhil is currently studying in B Com second year.
