Air ambulance en route to Delhi crashes in Ranchi with seven on board

New Delhi: An aircraft, with seven people on board, crashed shortly after taking off from Ranchi airport on Sunday evening.

The flight on its way to Delhi was reportedly operating as a medical charter service. According to reports, the last contact with the aircraft was established at 7.34 pm.

After take-off, communication was successfully established with the next control station and the handover was carried out as per standard procedure. However, contact was lost soon after, and the aircraft did not re-establish communication with Ranchi airport.

State authorities have been informed about the incident. Officials said all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed. Further details, including information about casualties or damage, were not immediately available.
