Digital system is being implemented in Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple of Ujjain, where now booking of evening aarti and bed aarti can be done online. This system has been implemented keeping in mind transparency, well-organized management and convenience of the devotees.
Now devotees will be able to book for both the aartis only through the official website of the temple (https://www.shrimahakaleshwar.mp.gov.in/). Online booking for Sandhya Aarti will start from 12:00 noon daily, while online booking for Shayan Aarti will start from 4:00 pm daily.
A fee of Rs 250 per devotee (same as for quick darshan) has been fixed for both the aartis. Booking will be done on first come, first serve basis. Entry gate number 1 has been fixed for both the aartis.

The last time of entry for Sandhya Aarti will be 6:00 pm, while the last time of entry for Shayan Aarti will be 10:00 pm. The process of mobile darshan will also be conducted during the scheduled time of both the aartis, so that the devotees can get the benefit of darshan in a systematic manner.

The temple committee says that the only objective behind implementing this system is to provide a transparent, well-organized and devotee-friendly system to the devotees through digital medium, so that more and more devotees can easily avail the benefits of aarti and darshan. It is further said that this new system is a big step for the devotees, through which they will be able to easily book aartis and have darshan of Lord Mahakal.
