Salman Khan’s co-actress Praveena Deshpande was battling cancer for a long time. Praveena Deshpande’s family confirmed her death through a social media post. His funeral took place on 17 February at 3 pm at the Hindu cremation ground in Andheri East. The news of her demise caused a wave of mourning in the industry.
Pravina Deshpande passed away while fighting a battle with cancer. In an interview in 2024, he told that he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2019. The initial symptoms were minor skin eruptions. She remained in isolation for 17 days during the bone marrow transplant. During this time, the family encouraged him through video calls. She continued working after treatment.

Born in 1965, Praveena worked in Marathi and Hindi cinema. She was seen in TV shows like ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’, ‘Karam Apna Apna’ and ‘Kulfi Kumar Bajewala’. She also left her acting mark in films like ‘Ready’, ‘Ek Villain’, ‘Gabbar Is Back’, ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’.
Pravina Deshpande worked in Salman Khan starrer comedy drama ‘Ready’. In this film he played the role of Shalu Chaudhary. She was seen in films like Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Gabbar is Back’, ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’ with John Abraham, ‘Blackmail’ with Irrfan Khan.
