About Rs 3 crore was stolen from Ram temple, Trust Treasurer Govinddev admitted for the first time – News Himachali News Himachali

For the first time, an official statement has come out from Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust regarding theft of donations from Ram temple in Ayodhya. Trust treasurer Govinddev Giri admitted that around Rs 3 crore was stolen from the temple.

Till now, different estimates were being made regarding the amount of theft. In its preliminary report, SIT had written about recovery of Rs 80 lakh. Govinddev also said that the reports of theft of gold, silver and other valuables worth Rs 14 crore are wrong.

categorical refusal of his resignation

Govinddev Giri, who was on a visit to Pune, while talking to an agency, termed the news of his resignation as completely baseless and said that I have not given any resignation. Neither have I said anything about resigning nor do I have any such thoughts in my mind. I am a follower of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. I am not going to run away from the field.

Champat Rai resigned voluntarily

Govinddev said that Champat Rai has voluntarily resigned from the post of General Secretary of the Trust. It would not be correct to say that he has been made a scapegoat. They definitely realize that there has been some carelessness. In such a situation, he has resigned himself. There was no pressure on him.

No interference in SIT investigation

He said that he is completely satisfied with the SIT investigation. No pressure is being put on anyone. There is no attempt being made to influence the investigation. A crime has been committed against Ramlala. Whoever has done this must be punished. He said that today we are sitting in Pune. There is only a one room house and kitchen here. Not even a single brick is in my name.

Trust meeting on 22nd, possibility of important changes

Many major changes are likely to be made in the next meeting of Shri Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra. According to the fixed agenda, in the meeting proposed to be held in two parts on July 22, the selection of Trust members on vacant posts, SIT report and changes in the five committees of the Trust are to be discussed. It is believed that the Trust will have to make changes in its five committees as the posts of the members associated with them have become vacant. In this regard, new members can be given this responsibility.

In the bylaws of Shri Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust, five committees have been arranged from the point of view of division of work. These include construction, finance, audit, religious and managing committees. These committees have been constituted as per the trust deed dated 11 November 2020. The Chairman of these committees has the right to nominate a person from outside the Trust as a subject expert in the committee as per the need.

The chairman of the construction committee is retired IAS and ex-officio member of the trust, Nripendra Mishra. He has nominated experts in addition to the Trust members in the construction committee. Apart from the outgoing General Secretary of the pilgrimage area Champat Rai, Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra, Ayodhya King Vimalendra Mohan Pratap Mishra were also included in this committee. Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have resigned. The post of member is vacant due to the death of Ayodhya King. In this regard, a proposal for change can also be placed in the meeting.
