A source said that if both the Khans agreed to take the exemption, then Tiger vs Pathan could have been possible despite the flop of Yash Raj’s War 2. But due to the budget, especially the star fees, this film has been shelved. The idea of the film came after the tremendous success of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan in theatres. The report further states that new updates related to the project suggest that the production of the film has been halted even before it started. The production house cannot afford to pay Rs 100 crores to both the superstars, this will increase the budget a lot.
