Karnataka Minister Satish Jarkiholi said on cabinet expansion that it will happen sooner or later. He demanded to give more ministerial posts to Belagavi and made it clear that the 2028 elections will be fought under the leadership of the current Chief Minister.
Belagavi (Karnataka) [भारत]July 14 (ANI): Karnataka Minister of State Satish Jarkiholi on Monday spoke on a range of political and administrative issues including cabinet expansion, discussion on leadership and the ongoing investigation.
Speaking to the media in Belagavi, Jarkiholi said that speculation about cabinet expansion has been going on for some time. He said, “There is a saying – it will happen sooner or later.” On reports of senior Congress leader BK Hariprasad being made a minister, he said, “I don’t know about it. It will be decided by the high command.”
Demand to give more representation to Belagavi
Emphasizing on the size of Belagavi, Jarkiholi said the district should be given more representation in the cabinet. He said, “Belagavi is a big district. It should be given three ministerial berths. It would be good if it happens.” He clarified that no one has made any direct contact with the district yet. He further said, ‘Whoever will be selected, it will be decided keeping in mind what will benefit the party in the next elections.’
‘Will contest 2028 elections only under the leadership of CM’
On speculation that the Chief Minister may play an organizational role in the party, Jarkiholi said that the party has stuck to this stand since the beginning. “We have been saying all this all along. Everyone says the same. He will remain till the 2028 elections and we will contest the elections under his leadership only.”
Discussion on Ahinda leadership declared unnecessary
On the discussions surrounding Ahinda leadership, he said there was no need for excessive debate on it. “It will be revealed with time. There is no need to expose it so much.” Let us tell you that AHINDA is the short form of Minority, Backward and Dalit (Alpasankhyataru, Hindulidavaru, and Dalitaru) in Kannada.
Expressed his opinion on other issues also
On the demand of increasing milk prices, Jarkiholi said that the concerned minister should visit and take a decision on this. “If it is not being resolved, then the minister should come. Only then a decision will be taken.”
Responding to allegations of misuse of the SIR process, he said the process was going on smoothly and would be completed on time. “There is the Election Commission in Delhi. If they are informed, they will investigate. They should explain what the problem is. A complaint has already been filed.”
Commenting on the alleged theft in the Hundi of Ram temple, Jarkiholi called it a serious matter. “Theft of hundi is a serious issue and should be investigated. Investigation is already underway. Whoever is guilty should be prosecuted as per law.”
He also commented on the statements of the RSS, saying, “Whatever the RSS says, it will not come out. It will remain secret.” (ANI)
