10 April 2022: Prime Minister steps down after losing the no-confidence vote.
22 August 2022: Anti-terror case registered on charges of inciting violence, later dropped.
21 October 2022: Disqualified from public office for five years by the Election Commission.
9 May 2023: Arrest in Toshakhana case, violence across the country.
10 May 2023: The Supreme Court declared the arrest illegal and ordered his release.
5 August 2023: Three years imprisonment in Toshakhana case, house arrest.
30 January 2024: Sentenced to 10 years in the Cypher case, later acquitted.
31 January 2024: 14 years’ imprisonment in Toshakhana case, later relief due to lack of evidence.
3 February 2024: 7 years imprisonment in illegal marriage case, later acquitted.
20 November 2024: Bail in Toshakhana-2 case.
24 November 2024: PTI took out a march demanding his release.
November 2025: Rumors of death on social media, which were rejected by the jail administration. On 26 November 2025, the jail administration clarified that Imran Khan has been shifted out of jail and his health is fine. The news of death was declared baseless.
